Syracuse is an iconic Melbourne restaurant located in the quaint surrounds of Bank Place. Old world charm abound with classic Victorian architecture and stunning antique décor. Syracuse Restaurant and Wine bar has become a haven of escape for visitors and locals alike.

The ornate archways, soaring ceilings and curving chandeliers of a 19th century hotel lobby create a stunning impression of grandeur. Soft lighting and an assortment of antique tables and chairs help to create a mood that is romantic and welcoming. Our venue is totally devoted to you for your wedding ceremony and reception and we promise an experience you and your guests will never forget.

Syracuse can be found in Bank Place, one of Melbourne's famous tree lined laneways. Our dining room evokes a wholly other time and place. As a wedding venue itself, the dining room is magnificent. Our open dining room seats 78 and with a dance floor or up to 100 as a cocktail stand up event. We can also accommodate smaller weddings from around 40 guests. Our alfresco option is a lush outdoor seating area for up to 16 people.

We aim for all our produce to be locally grown, sustainable and organic wherever possible. Vegetarian dishes are on the menu and dietary requirements are looked after or made to suit whatever the guest needs. Only quality ingredients are used and treated simply, letting them speak for themselves. Every couple of weeks we will adjust or change one or two dishes according to what the season brings.
